Class Policies and Procedures
In order to ensure the most enjoyable experience, we have put together a list of our policies and procedures to set expectations for a successful class.
Need more info? Here are the details:
What to wear and bring
As with all art, things are bound to get a little messy. We ask that you wear appropriate clothing and footwear that can get dirty. We do recommend sneakers and no open-toed shoes. Most clay and glaze materials will wash out of clothing, and we do provide aprons for all participants.

Participants are welcome to bring non-alcoholic beverages to enjoy during class. Water fountains and restrooms are available at the community center. We recommend participants limit bringing food and snacks given the nature of the pottery work.

If you have specific requirements, please contact heidi@sunshinestudiotn.com to discuss ADA or other accommodations to ensure we can adequately meet your needs.
Arrival time and parking
We ask all participants to arrive 5-10 minutes before class begins in order to check-in and prepare for class. Please call/text (615-598-1675) if you will be arriving more than 15 minutes late or are not able to attend class.

Note: There is free parking available at the community center.
Completed projects
The ceramic process requires multiple steps including drying and firing in a kiln. This aftercare means your projects will take approximately two or three weeks to be completed after the class has ended. Sunshine Studio will email you when projects are ready for pick up. Please also note that:
-
Class time will include time for clean-up, which is an integral part of the pottery making.
-
All materials and firing are included in the cost of the class.
-
Due to the fragile nature of clay and the firing process, work can sometimes get damaged caused by construction issues or the firing or glazing processes. We make every effort to ensure projects are delivered intact and we will work with you in the event there is an issue during drying or firing.
Class payment policy
In terms of our payment policy, please note the following:
-
Tuition is due in full at time of registration.

-
No refunds are issued for cancellations made within 5 days of the class.
-
There are no refunds or pro-rating options for missed class.
